I started with kickboxing first, at age of 17 in a local gym in Croatia. I just started training for fun, because my friends were doing it too, and I never thought I will become so good! I even used to turn away my head when being punched in sparring and in general I was shy kid, but boxing changed my life and shaped my personality.
To be honest, lockdown has done me good- I had time to reflect, re focus and just spend some time by myself. Training wise, I didn’t suffer at all- I was training hard, running , cycling, doing online boxing sessions and occasionally sparrings with my boxing friends at the park.
I have won 3 belts in professional K1 – 2 World and 1 European Champion belt,as well as 1 European Muay thai belt. Also I have been amateur European Full contact champion.
Still working on finding my artist side, but definitely nature walks, travel, new experiences. Also, as a full time fighter you don’t get to have too much free time so even on a days you are free (sundays only) you are too tired from week training and just trying to recover for upcoming week 🙂
Curiosity. Relentlessness. Discovering how far I can go and how strong I can be. I also find motivation thinking of my family (they are in Croatia while I am here living my dreams) so that adds my fuel too.
Not really. As a kid I was into Mike Tyson and his story, it motivated me a lot, but still, my family is my biggest motivation.
Boxing is ruthless and hard. At the same time, it’s a lifestyle and I would never choose any other. It will make you strong, psychically and mentally. If you decide to do it, go all the way, and even if you have bad days , they will be replaced by better ones and those are the days you make real progress. It’s a long process and steps are very small but it’s so much rewarding.
I am happy and sore from hard week of training so I am taking a deserved chilled weekend with my sister or friends, probably going on some small trip, mountain or village, with some hiiking, chilling, good food and unplanned fun.
Beet It Sport helped me a lot as a part of my pre workout . On the days I feel tired and I need that extra push, Beet It Sport never lets me down and I really feel effects during my training.
Not yet, but I would love to
